Grey Wedding Color Inspiration
Whether you spell it Grey or Gray this year be sure to discover the magic of this wedding trend color of 2013!!!
Each Bride has their own ideas for what colors they will choose for their wedding. Ranging from sophisticated & classy to daring & bold. With the 2013 Pantone Color palette there are no boundaries & every bride will have amazing color choices to weave into all her wedding planning & bridal festivities. It’s the year for brides to step out of the so called box and let their personality shine.
Grey is timeless, practical, and solid yet stunningly intriguing.
Grey is a sophisticated color that can range from light and airy to a dark grey that holds mystery and strength. All shades of grey can be good and used as solid neutral background colors, and it is definitely one you should consider when thinking about your wedding!
{{Grey is a mid-tone neutral, which means it can literally be paired with ANY other color harmoniously! Hooray and FUN!!}}
Greys are often used as a replacement for the harshness of black. This years wedding trends show a wide variety of uses from using grey as an overall theme, or tying grey in with an accent color to show some individuality and fun to your wedding theme.
Creative Color Combos
The lighter greys mixed with more pastel shades of this years pantone color palette such as pink, green and blues will lend themselves to a lighter more feminine feel. Add grey to darker colors such as emerald etc and end up with a warmer more sophisticated look. Of course at ANY time you can be bold and make a statement by adding grey with bright pinks or other colors and really add a pop to your wedding.
((With all these options for color and personality you are sure not to find grey boring at all.))
Layer the color gray in your fabrics. Add gray ribbon or flowers to bouquets to gently accent a spring-themed wedding. Use gray as a tone for your tablecloths or add gray to the bridal party’s dresses.Once you have decided that you are going to take the plunge and marry grey into your wedding color palette the fun begins!

Grey Wedding Invitations
Here are alot of inspirational and 100% customizable wedding invitations for your special day featuring our favorite neutral, grey. Most can be matched to other like products on this page such as envelopes, save the dates, stickers, labels seals, table numbers and RSVP’s to name a few.
Grey wedding invitations can come on a wide variety of paper types, one of my favorites being metallic, which is STUNNING. White envelopes are included with your purchase.
Inspiration, Decor and all things fashion!
From flowers to decorating the tables Grey can be used a little or alot! Being a neutral you can’t overwhelm anything if you decide to use it as your main color palette.
Your flowers can be a lighter shade of grey and adding some whites in for an all over neutral tone, or add a dash of color and really let it pop!
Follow this theme through to the wedding party with mismatching grey toned bridesmaid dresses that are sure to keep each maid happy as their individual style shines through while honoring your special day. For the men grey suits with flowers or cummerbunds that are colorful will go along nicely.
The flower girl could be unique in that she would be the only girl not wearing grey in a slash of color gown suited to be whimsical and fun.
Another cool and unique idea is to have your matrons wear dark grey while maids wear light grey and give a neat tonal effect, especially when your pictures are taken.
Be sure to choose flowers that suit your day! Go big and bold or stunning and simple. This year making your own bouquet out of paper is all the rage! Could even be a fun girl bridesmaid project if you are crafty and have enough wine!
When it comes the time to dress shopping, why not make it EASY and FUN by letting your bridesmaids pick out their own style with the color grey you choose! When looking for a grey keep this years 2012 Pantone color Palette in mind and ask for Alloy Grey, Charcoal Grey, Tidal Foam, or just light or dark grey.
Everyone loves a good cake whether it is decorated to the nines or is simple and just downright tastes great! Choosing a wedding cakes is typically a complex process. The wedding cake must not only reflect the couple’s personal style, bakers provide more exotic choices for flavors of cake, fillings and frosting that are often presented in various combinations at a cake tasting.
1. Find a bakery that holds cake tastings! (FUN & TASTY!)
2.Ask your friends about their wedding cake and if they liked it and where they got it from.
3. Purchase a small cake from a bakery and take it home and have friends taste test it.
4. Have a list of questions to ask the bakery. What is the cost per slice? do they set up and take down? Can they make a custom cake from pictures or do you have to choose from what they do there? And most importantly can they work withing your budget!
Enjoy this time, as cake tasting for your wedding can be fun and trying, but in the end it will taste great!
Now that you have come to see the beauty, simplicity and array of possibilities with Grey I challenge you to go out and make it part of your 2013 wedding!

I got my start as a professional designer in the Video Game industry working for EA (Electronic Arts) designing User Interfaces and texture maps for video games. In 2009 I started my own store that was non game art called jfarrell12, as an outlet to get my own artwork into the world. From there my business has grown into 3 main shops (jfarrell12, Odd Lot Paperie, Paper_Robot) and a handful of smaller shops that keep my creative juices flowing and keep me busy! I absolutely love offbeat weddings and specialize in making custom invitations and wedding packages for brides who want to have a fantastic non traditional wedding.
